It is possible to apply ductile and soft nickel plating to tin plating used in electronic products and industrial products, even at high currents. Nickel plated to a thickness of about 2㎛ on a brass base provides 48 hours of corrosion resistance in a salt spray test and prevents whiskers.It maintains excellent soldering properties while preventing discoloration that may occur after heat treatment (Reflow) following tin plating. When used together with various tin platings, it prevents nickel diffusion as well as whiskers.
